He’ll get away with it

Our system is built so people like Boris Johnson get away with it.

The only way to remove him is via his Conservative party. The same conservative party responsible for the hostile environment and austerity. These people are scum.

They’ll probably still get votes though and they’ll still win elections because they have the support of the scum right-wing print media.

I empathised with people who voted Conservative and who voted for Brexit. They were promised change while the opposition only promised more foot-dragging. I get it—if you’re struggling to get by and you’ve spent your entire life being promised the earth by politicians, yet nothing ever changes, you’re going to gravitate towards that change.

It despises me when people claim to be on the left, yet describe people described above as idiots and scum. It’s a cheap shot that goes against everything it means to be on the left. You’re punching down.

Surely now people who voted for this government can see that they have let them down time and time again. In fact, they’ve almost certainly made your life worse. I plead with you that you remember that at the next election—even when the right-wing media gaslight you.

Please never vote Conservative again. It’s up to us to make sure they don’t get away with it.
